Vertical of Riné 2008-2015

posted on 17 November 2017
I had the pleasure, on 10-11 November, of visiting Antony e Sofie, my importers in Brussels. We had decided to personally visit all their customers, divided into three groups, and taste with them a vertical of Riné, vintages 2008 through 2015, the latter currently on the market. We found the years 2009 and 2012 came out the best, and those were the years, in fact, whose growing seasons gave us conditions that favoured the production of high-quality wines. We also found time to visit some restaurants, who already had Cantrina on their wine lists and appreciated our wines. Warm thanks to Antony and Sofie, for their trust in us and for organising the initiative. It is no easy task to find importers who appreciate niche producers, and who can communicate and sell these wines. It was a terrific experience. Cristina

ProWein 2015

Here I am back from Prowein, and this year simply confirms my opinion from the first year I participated, that it’s a thoroughly professional event, and very useful to wine professionals. Yes, there’s a lot of activity in the halls, but it’s quite calm and serious, and one doesn’t get over-tired.

Still in cork, but in the future… who knows?

Thank you very much for participating in our survey. All of your opinions were valuable to us, and we would like to report to you what we have decided regarding screwcaps for our Valtènesi (Groppello) and Riné. In spite of the strong preference by sector professionals in favour of screwcaps, we realize that it is still premature for Cantrina to utilise screwcaps for the larger part of our wines.

Cork or Screwcap? That is the question

I would like to solicit your opinion regarding use of screwcaps. As a consequence of the positive results with our Rosanoire 2013 and 2014, we are evaluating the possibility of using it on our other wines.
